Teens’ Can Structures to Benefit Local Food Bank

Wednesday, January 4th, 2012

Some Alabama High School students interested in architecture, engineering and design have the chance to show off their stuff and help the hungry at the same time. Their Can-Structure creations, built from cans of food, are on exhibit at Mobile’s Gulf Coast Exploreum Science Center until January 7, when winners will be announced. Not just teens will be winners, though. Following the contest, thousands of cans of food will be donated to the Bay Area Food Bank.
