Students Serve the Homeless on Halloween

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011

Going trick-or-treating was not on the menu for members of the Landon Middle School student council on Halloween night. Instead, the students from Topeka, Kansas, opted to spend the evening at the Topeka Rescue Mission, serving dinner to the homeless shelter’s clients.

“I like helping out,” Jenny Clark, 13, told the Topeka Capital-Journal. “I like to see little children happy.”
